Und Linda Castillo schreibt so gut, dass ich als Leserin, K. Burkholders Gefühle der Trauer und ihre Wut auf die Täter gut nachvollziehen.
"Wenn die Nacht verstummt" hat mir bei Weitem nicht so gefallen, wie die ersten beiden Bücher um Kate Burkholder und die Amische Gemeinde. Die Autorin hat meines Erachtens ziemlich nachgelassen. Ich empfand diese Story - bis auf den Schluss - eher ermüdend. Das Ende hat mich überrascht, aber nicht vom Hocker gehauen.
